Your child says the word out loud. Speech recognition runs on the device, celebrates a good attempt, and offers the sound again if it helps.

Levels pay out XP and Credits. Credits buy hats, skins and sidekicks for Stug, so there is always a reason to come back tomorrow!

Built for every age
Three modes, one app
A four-year-old and an eleven-year-old need different things from the same word. Stug asks once, at setup, and changes accordingly: the pictures, the reading level, the way a prompt is given, and how much is asked at a time.
Ages 2 to 5
Pictures over text, the word read aloud, press-and-hold to speak, and one thing asked at a time.
Ages 6 to 9
Reading and speaking together, with the word always available to hear again.
Ages 10+
Word searches, ranks and longer words, so practice never feels like it was made for little kids.

Stug is built around positive reinforcement. Practising words and finishing levels earns XP to level up and Credits to spend in the Mini Mart on a new hat, a skin, or a sidekick to walk beside you! A daily streak and fresh activities at every midnight turn that into a habit a child actually looks forward to.
