Who am I?
Hi! My name is Joe. I'm 23 years old from Bergen County, NJ. Outside of the business, I enjoy watching sports and spending time with friends, family, and my dogs!
I was born with a stutter and was actively in speech therapy until about age 15. I always struggled with expressing myself, so I decided to use my experience to create a tool that could help others like me.

The Idea
On the verge of failing out of college, I felt I was meant for more. Laying in bed staring at the wall, I envisioned a product that would help people like me regain confidence, and see that being different is a gift.

November 2025
Laying the Foundation
After a hard-fought semester, I finally made time to put the idea on paper. After weeks of planning and designing, the foundation was complete. I broke down in tears. I realized I had the ability to bring my vision to life and make a real difference.

Turning the House Into a Home
During my final semester, I scheduled late-night sessions to build. Countless frustrating days, but triple the amount where everything felt right. One goal stayed fixed: launch Stug YSC on April 30th, 2026.

The Big Reveal
The launch was pushed back a couple days, but that's life! I'll never forget opening my phone and seeing the notification that the app went live. I never bought into "anything is possible," but this experience transformed my perspective entirely.
Who is Stug?
Stug the turtle is a companion designed to be supportive and present. Everyone deserves the comfort and companionship Stug brings.
I made Stug free because paywalls have no place near a product that's meant to help people. My goal is simple: reach as many people as possible. No one should suffer because of something they can't control.
